As the availability of public funds for research and development decreases and because of competitive reasons, the financial support  for scientists becomes more and more important.
It is not uncommon that the quality of a research project is measured by its amount of funding. That’s why scientists in need of funding have to invest more of their precious time in doing research on funding relevant information.

The ELFI database offers an optimal solution: ELFI collects comprehensive information from the internet with the help of software-robots that explore websites for relevant information on research funding, e.g. grants, scholarships and awards, all other kinds of funding that contribute to support scientists to finance their projects.
